Voting Guide

🗳️ All registered voters receive a vote-by-mail ballot in October.

Your ballot can be returned by mail, to an official ballot drop box, or at any Vote Center. Below is all the information you need to vote and make your voice heard:

📬 Ballots Mailed 10/7

Every registered voter in Orange County is sent a vote-by-mail ballot on October 7th. Remember to fill out every position, sign the back of the envelope, and send it in as soon as possible. Postage is prepaid on the return envelope, or simply use a ballot drop box listed below.

📍 Official Ballot Drop Box Locations in Irvine

Official ballot drop boxes are available 24/7 starting October 7th until 8pm on November 5th. You can safely take your ballot to any official drop box.

🔎 Track Your Ballot or Check Registration

Did you know that you can track your ballot to know exactly when your vote is counted? Visit ocvote.gov/vlt to track your ballot.


If you did not receive a ballot, please check your voter registration using the same link at ocvote.gov/vlt to make sure the correct address is on file. 

🏛️ Vote Centers Open 10/26

In-person early voting is available at any Vote Center starting 11 days before the Election. Any eligible citizen can also register to vote in-person at any Vote Center in Orange County. 


Vote Centers located in Irvine that open October 26: (8am - 5pm)

  • Portola Springs Community Center (900 Tomato Springs, Irvine)
  • Los Olivos Community Center (101 Alfonso, Irvine)
  • Irvine Civic Center (1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine)

🗓️ Election Day 11/5

Election Day is on November 5th! This is the last day to vote in-person or drop off your ballot at any official Vote Center or Drop Box. Your vote is due by 8PM when polls close.
